PHYSICAL THERAPY AIDE PROJECT - Year 2 Students
Task: Your task is to creat a wiki on the following project: Make up an exercise program for a specific joint or area of the body. Follow the following checkbrick: 1. Use your clinical experience to demonstrate specific exercises to rehabilitate your joint area. What exercises have you seen patients do? (40 points) 2. Include the modalities that would apply to the body part that is injured or diseased. What pieces of equipment would the patient use? (30 points) Include pictures.
3. Identify the anatomy of the area (10 points)
4. Also, make a presentation to the class to show your information.
6. Give specific case scenarios of patients you have seen in clinic injured with your area of body (you may change their name for HIPAA reasons), their disorder or injury, treatment for rehabilitation, any testing they may have received. (10 points) Be sure to demonstrate your findings in the lab- show specific exercises to your patients (the rest of the class) and the specific modalities and how they are properly used. Examples of equipment used: therabands, weights, traction, ultrasound, ems, stretches, hot/cold, whirlpool, etc…..
